“Superior training and superior weaponry have, when taken together, a geometric effect on overall military strength. Well-trained, well-equipped troops can stand up to many more times their lesser brethren than linear arithmetic would seem to indicate.”

Ideologies
There are those on planet who blame Colonel Corazon Santiago for their current predicament, but they fail to understand a single truth, that Unity was already doomed. The Colonel was just the first to realize. iI she had been listened to, valuable supplies would not have been lost. Planetfall filled the rest of the Unity's Senior Staff with fear, but for us Spartans it presented only opportunity. A chance to pit themselves against an unknown world and unknown challenges, to prove that their way is right.
The Spartans have a simple and stark philosophy. They believe that the universe is a hostile place that takes no notice of human idealism. In the long run, only the strong survive and rule, while the weak can expect only servitude or death. Better to be strong, always ready to fight for one's life or personal ambitions. Anyone who teaches otherwise is an enemy, trying to corrupt the courage and discipline that are humanity's greatest strengths.
A Spartan’s lifestyle is harsh and austere. Children are taken from parents at a very young age and placed in state run creches where they can be taught appropriate skills and discipline. Those who fail to meet the harsh criteria of the teachers in learning or physicality are sent to the recycling tanks so that they do not drain vital resources from others who could make better use of them.
Spartans have a strict chain of command and a structure that all citizens fit into well. This doesn't mean that they are not willing to listen to their subordinates - after all a good officer always listens to their troops. The ideal Spartan is strong, well trained, utterly disciplined, and ready to die when the fortunes of war turn against them.
Synopsis

Spartans are commonly seen with personal rebreathers just in case.
Believers – A fanatical fighting force worthy of respect, but their single-mindedness makes them only a little better than the hive. They have power but do not value it.
Human Hive – A society that suppresses the potential of individuals and creates order at the expense of humanity may survive, but at too high a cost.
Morgan Industries – Decadent buffoons who would be all too easy to carve up, were it not for the assets they have at their disposal. Wealth makes them soft and their riches will not save them. this world too if not stopped.
Opinions
UN Peacekeepers – Their obsession with ‘rights’ rather than duties leaves them diminished, but they have an admirable will to survive.
Gaia’s Stepdaughters – Soft and weak idealists that do not have what it takes to prosper on this world
University of Planet – Knowledge as an end to itself is hollow, but applied properly their tools can support a strong will to create a powerful force.
