Experience
Your character gains 2 Experience Points (XP) per session attended.
Any unspent XP from previous sessions will be marked on their sheet, please add 2 to this if they have attended the most recent uptime session to arrive at the final sum of how much XP you have to spend on them at any given point.
You will be asked in the Downtime Form whether you wish to spend any XP, and if so on what.
Proficiency Experience Costs
These are the base XP costs for buying proficiencies, these may be modified by being trained or through certain advantages and drawbacks.
It is not possible to buy or increase proficiencies associated with a character’s Aversions without the Alternative Interpretation advantage.
New proficiency within a favoured ideology: 2 XP
Increase a proficiency within a favoured ideology (to a maximum of 5): 1 XP
New proficiency outside of favoured ideology: 5 XP
Increase a proficiency outside of favoured ideology: 3XP
Other XP Spends
Occasionally, a learning action may allow a character to gain an advantage and this may cost some amount of XP.
However this is not usually the case; the Refs will inform characters / factions who may gain access to an advantage in this way, and this will include any costs.
