The Awakening Chiron LARP is based on the lore and setting of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. You can find out more about the original game here, however we have made some changes to the original setting to bring it up to date. The setting section of the website covers our canon lore.

The gameplay will include, amongst other things:

• Diverse factions jockeying for political power

• Development and implementation of futuristic technologies, along with the ethical and moral dilemmas that those technologies prompt

• Exploration of the alien planet Chiron, along with its flora and fauna

• Management and resolution of crises

• Questioning what it is to be human in the face of trans-human and post-human developments

This LARP is not intended to have a heavy focus on violent PVP, however we do expect that there will be many situations where player characters are at odds and actively working to disadvantage their rivals.

We do not anticipate a high rate of characters becoming unplayable through death, for reasons which will become apparent after the first session.
