Planet Chiron surface still remains largely unexplored. The Factions have all discovered, over the time since Planetfall, wonders never before seen. Strange flora and fauna, ancient alien devices and ruins, left behind by creatures unknown, and Unity Pods scattered in the disastrous arrival at Chiron, which contain a wide variety of material and information helpful to the hopeful colonization of the new world. There are riches and glory potentially awaiting those who dare to explore the unknown, if you can return with your spoils unscathed.

Explore Missions

A character with the Explore, Scout or Survey proficiencies may embark upon an expedition to explore a new area of Chiron. When committing to this action first the character must decide whether they are exploring the area around a specific base, within a faction’s territory, or further afield either upon land or the sea. Characters with the Survey Proficiency may only lead expeditions exploring the area around a specific base. Characters wishing to explore the seas will need to be accompanied by at least one character with the Seafaring Proficiency

The success of such a mission will be determined by a series of checks depending on what is discovered. It may be wise therefore to try and recruit other characters with complimentary skills to help you succeed on such an undertaking.
